Whatever!

There's nothing like wasting a bunch of taxpayer’s dollars to create a big spectacle over a couple of lying liars.

All I got to say is thank God that over-the-top showdown between Roger Clemens and Brian McNamee this week in Washington, wasn't on my dime!

Instead of solving the homeless situation, housing-market crisis or creating laws to keep pedophiles off the street, Congressmen are blowing valuable time and money on figuring out if the former Jays ace took a shot of HGH in the rump, care of his former trainer.

If you watched any of the testimony, you'll know both guys were fudging the truth, especially Clemens.

Lots of opinion polls are out saying most of us don't believe Rocket Roger's story and if you talk to people, most of them don't really care.

Sure, it's a letdown and a bad message for our youth. But if a sports star is a child's one and only hero in life, that kid's got more pressing problems to deal with and politicians should be spending their energy on creating outreach programs and free, mandatory parenting classes for everyone in America, before opening a nasty can of worms that will never be cleaned-up.

Honestly, you gotta wonder where people's priorities are! The sad fact of life is, professional athletes dope-up. There's a fewer percentage that don't compared to those that do. These guys and to a lesser extent girls, will do anything to get that edge.

That line of work requires an intense amount of determination. To play through pain, to push you mind and body to the limits. They live hard and they play hard and some will gamble with their health to reach the top.

Those are the stakes. So maybe it's about that time we started educated kids on the reality, temptations and struggles of pro-sports instead of focusing on the fame and big money.

But Whatever!
