Whatever!

It's the day after our first big snowfall of the season and we made it! Though it's a bloody miracle considering how totally ill prepared so many people across the GTA were!

You couldn't go anywhere on Wednesday without hearing or seeing some news-person or meteorologist talking about the loads of snow to come and yet so many of you ignored it!

I guess it's the mentality that if you don't acknowledge something, it doesn't exist. Well what a cold and brutal wake-up call you must've had yesterday! Hmmm?

There were hundreds of crashes across our glorious land and why? We warned you about the rain turning to freezing rain, mixed with ice pellets and then soon to be followed by at least 5 centimetres of snow.

But noooo, you had to go ahead and disregard the warnings of putting on your snow tires, properly cleaning off your car, waking-up extra early for your morning commute and driving much, much slower.

So if you were one of those hundreds of people involved in mostly single-car crashes yesterday, I'm sorry your insurance is about to go up. But it's not like we didn't tell you so!

And I also have to make a quick note about winter fashion, or a lack thereof. For the love of God, I will never understand why teenagers, mostly girls, particularly the ones who have to wear uniforms, insist on running around half-naked in this weather!

Here's a tip kiddies, if it's below 10 degrees, your skin should be covered up. If your bare legs are turning a reddish-purple from walking outside, that means it's cold and you need to put some damn stockings on and for crying out loud, stop hiking-up your skirts! It's unladylike and honestly, less attention-getting tactics, is more.

But Whatever!
