I’m getting reports that the popular video Game Fallout 3 is being made into a movie.

About one in 10 videogame players show signs of addictive behavior that could have negative effects on their family, friends and school work, according to a new study. Researchers found that some gamers show at least six symptoms of gambling addiction such as lying to family and friends about how much they play games, using the games to escape their problems and becoming restless or irritable when they stop playing. They may also skip homework to play videogames or spend too much time playing the games and do poorly in school.

A British newspaper reports a solar superstorm could send us back into the dark ages -- and one is due in just three years. The catastrophe, if it comes, will be beautiful at first. It'll be a balmy evening in late September 2012. But shortly after the amazing colors sweep across the sky the lights will start to go out. That is, the lights here on Earth. Power, cell networks, TV, satellites -- all off. Total blackout that will change the way we live forever. So, you know, stock up on batteries and such.

You may have heard this rumour a while back and it turns out it’s true, Matt Damon turned down the role of Captain Kirk in the new Star Trek film. Director J.J. Abrams says that he initially approached Damon for the remake, but the actor declined his offer.
