Whatever!

It's wintertime, which means it's also cold season, flu season, SAD season and a season without reason.



Not sure if you’ve noticed, but I've been completely stunned and grossed out at least a few times a day at how barbaric some people behave in public. And it's people of all ages and walks of life that I'm seeing engage in this despicable behaviour.



I'm talking about people who cough out loud, as in not covering their mouth when they decide to hack away, spraying the unsuspecting public with miniscule particles of their dirty cooties!



People do it on the street, in the malls, on the train, on buses, streetcars and even in elevators.



I'm not a hardcore germaphobe, and I don't want to be alarmist or anything, but this is how the plague starts people!



If you don't stay home when you're sick, then at least have enough care for your fellow human beings to keep your infection to yourself by coughing and sneezing into a kleenex or sleeve! Or better yet, do as the Japanese, and wear a surgical mask before going into public to limit contamination.



Honestly, if you want to pick your nose, scratch your butt or wipe away your snot with your sleeve, normal people usually wait to do that in private!



So if you like to let out an uninhibited cough, do it in your own house where you're the only one around!



It's common sense, it's good manners and it's the courteous thing to do.





But Whatever!
