Some sad news from the Geekdom
British actor DAVID PROWSE announced this week that he's battling prostate cancer. For those of you who don't know, Prowse is the ODV . . . the ORIGINAL DARTH VADER. He's 73.
Zac Efron has confirmed that he is indeed interested in playing the lead in a Jonny Quest Movie. Jonny is only 11, but Efron is 21 years old (mistake!) Dwayne The Rock Johnson is in talks to play Race Bannon
A Spiderman 4 update
Director Sam Raimi says that he and the production team are "in the earliest stages of working with the writer, trying to work out a story." He added that they are just working on the fourth installment and not also a fifth film. Previous reports had claimed that Sony Pictures would be making the fourth and fifth movies at the same time, but that doesn't appear to be the case. Rami could not confirm whether or not Kirsten Dunst would return as Mary Jane.
It turns out that "Transformers 3" is coming out in 2012 . . . NOT 2011, as Paramount had announced. Blame Director MICHAEL BAY for that miss information
A computer programmer from Finland who lost his ring finger in a motorcycle accident has had it replaced with a USB storage drive. Jerry Jalava has built a special prosthetic finger which contains computer storage for photos, movies and other useful files. While the prosthetic looks like a normal finger Jerry can peel it back from the 'nail' and plug it into the USB slot on his computer using it as an additional hard drive. The finger is not permanently attached to his hand meaning it can be removed when plugged into a computer.
