Jennifer Aniston has reportedly been offered a screen test for her dream role as a Bond girl. A source said, "It helps if she's athletic and able to keep up with the intense stunt work a Bond movie demands. It is likely she'll be called in to meet producers soon."
It’s been confirmed recently that Kenneth Branagh is looking at Alexander Skarsgard, as well as at least four other unknown actors for the role of Thor. The problem is they need some big names to actually sell this as a big summer tentpole movie. I’ve heard reports of Josh Hartnett playing the evil villain Loki, and now my source reports Natalie Portman, is in the lead for the female lead.
Paramount and DreamWorks have already set a release date for the third "Transformers" movie. Expect it in theaters on July 1st . . . of 2011. The second flick, "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen", hits theaters this coming June 24th.
Yesterday Japanese researchers showed off a robot that will soon strut her stuff down a Tokyo catwalk. The girl-faced humanoid with slightly oversized eyes, a tiny nose and a shoulder length hair-do boasts 42 motion motors programmed to mimic the movements of flesh-and-blood fashion models. She made her media premiere at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology outside Tokyo. The preview was a warm-up for her appearance at a Tokyo fashion show on March 23.
The Canadian Space Agency's astronaut recruitment campaign garnered 5,351 applications, and that field has now been narrowed to 15 men and one woman yesterday
The space agency will now conduct interviews and intensive medical tests before choosing the two newest members of Canada's Astronaut Corps in May.
