When it comes to the long weekend…size matters! The sad news is that it marks the end of summer…sniff sniff.
Today also marked Michael Jackson’s 50th Birthday. Melanie seemed all hot and bothered by MJ’s Dirty Diana. To be honest…so did Newbie.
Here’s something that happened that really IRKS JJ. Starting Tuesday JJ and Melanie will be getting their very own Intern. That’s right, a glorified coffee-runner. Rumor has it he’s a “hottie” and Melanie is craving some eye candy. Umm…what are we chop liver? Anyhow, whatever…I’m sure he’ll be fine.

Every so often I have a song stuck in my head…this morning I could not help but sing the Little Mermaid’s “Under the Sea.” Here’s a question; Did Ariel end up marrying the Prince? Watch the tape people…watch the tape…
Oh right, JJ and Melanie…the morning show that play the hits that move you. Not literally, because that would hurt.
This morning we discovered that JJ wishes to be beamed up, and Melanie refuses to watch anything with a spaceship. Weird…she came from the planet Pradacon.

Tuesday after the Monday = The Return of Melannie
What JJ does in his spare time is his own business…that is until today. Coldplay “announced” that they knit together when they’re not on stage. JJ “came out” and admitted to hanging out with his friends and drawing their own superheroes. Next thing you know JJ wants to play Batman & Robin with Newbie.
Newbie also “came out” by admitting to hiding his bum from his girlfriend. It should have ended there, but he gave details…and that was not good. TMI Newbie TMI!!!
Tomorrow is Wednesday…Hump Day…use protection.

Monday…yuck…but wait…no, still yuck. At least for those of you who tuned in you were able to be stimulated by JJ and Newbie’s voice…ok, maybe not.
Why do muscle men feel the need to be rude? This was the topic at hand, and most of you agree…big muscles = small penis…therefore they are angry inside. Don’t do drugs kids!

JJ's Tropic Thunder Review
Funny premise which is great for an entertaining trailer, and a movie that drags on an hour and a half too long. Even by the poster you kinda get he gist of the movie. Sadly this is not all it has going against it... mixing comedy and action is diff...(read more) icult to pull off, 48hrs did it and the first two Beverly Hills Cop movies...Sadly Tropic Thunder does not. This movie gets an "A" for effort because you definitely see it but a "C-" for results.
P.S Did anyone really think the Tom Cruise cameo was funny?
JJ's Pineapple Express Review
I had some "high" hopes for this movie. I really like the cast (was a big fan of Freaks and Geeks) but it wasn't the laugh a minute comedy I had imagined. As with Tropic Thunder trying to mix comedy and action seems to be a challenge. There were some...(read more) really funny moments but too many almost funny moments. Some terrible editing. The cast play their roles really well but the story falls flat...twice.

Mmm…beefy…raw…juicy…red…meat. (record scratch) Wait a minute, today’s topic at hand was about being a Vegetarian. Not quite the same…but it gives us the excuse to use the phrase Tofu-licious.
Melanie is having difficulty cooking for her vegetarian daughter…but thanks to your calls…she still has no idea.
Why must JJ always put his foot in his mouth? He actually told Melanie she should start to workout more. (Insert cyber slap here) In his defense he was talking about everyone…oh wait…that doesn’t help.

JJ's Review of The Dark Knight
" It's been a few weeks since I saw Batman: DK for the second time, I wanted to make sure I was clear of all the hype. Go see this film! Yes I called it a film.
This movie is epic, truly the Godfather II of the planned trilogy...(read more) . Heath Ledger is an amaz...(read more) ing incarnation of The Joker, not as psycho as I had hoped but more than good enough for a PG-13 movie, Christian Bale is still convincing as Batman very un-assuming physically as Bruce Wayne should be. The rest of the supporting cast is on their "A game" blah blah blah...I'm sure you've heard it all by now. For me what is so awesome about this movie is that it finally legitimizes the genre of comic book movie. It's filmed in a way that is believable (relatively) and there is great character development, suspense, drama, action and fantasy. For me it was perfectly entertaining on all levels. A little long? Sure, personally I'd never complain about that in a comic book based movie. Eerie score and visually stunning. Can't wait for the next one!!!"

Today was the first day of year two. That means JJ and Melanie can officially say that “JJ and Melanie in the Morning” has been on the air for more than a year.
Melanie can’t figure out whether she should go with a Jetta or an Audi? Wow, I remember the day I was faced with that very same decision…expect it was between an ‘88 Nissan Sentra and a ‘97 Ford Taurus.
UFC is not for MEL. JJ insists that there’s more to UFC fighting than just blood and bruises. You called, you wrote…and you agreed with JJ. Sorry Melanie
The Hills premiered last night, and it was sooo good. MTV’s The Hills after show with Jessi and Dan can now be seen 4 days a week. Visit mtv.ca for more details.

Happy 1 Year Anniversary JJ and Melanie.
Today marked 365 days (minus weekends) of JJ and Melanie in the morning…you do the math. Special guests who graced our airwaves were the lovely Divine Brown and Jessi & Dan from MTV’s The Hills after show.
In good company of course, we gave away a ton of prizes, carbolicious cake and you had the opportunity to pose naked with Newbie…ok, that’s a lie.

JJ and Melanie Celebrate 1-Year
They’re the Brangelina of Toronto Radio and they’ve been steaming up the airwaves for an entire year! On Monday, August 18 The New FLOW 93.5’s JJ and Melanie Morning Show celebrates their first anniversary on the air.
To mark this auditory milestone, JJ and Melanie, including show producer Newbie and news guru Melissa Duggan, will be broadcasting live from Fran’s Restaurant at 200 Victoria Street from 5:30am– 10 am. As a thank you to loyal listeners, everyone is invited to take part of the celebration and come down for the live broadcast. The event promises tons of giveaways, special guests, good food and plenty of interaction with both JJ and Melanie.

One word to describe today’s show…WOW! It was Jam Packed from head to toe!
This morning we found out that JJ can Hog Call and that Melanie only wishes she can.
Uma…Oprah…Oprah…JJ and Melanie…that’s right, Oprah called in this morning (clear throat) to congratulate JJ and Melanie on their 1 year Anniversary. To be honest…she has a bit of a potty mouth.
Tomorrow JJ is Melanie-less, after all it is the summer and people take vacation. If only we can get some warm weather.

Today marked the return of JJ…and Melanie could not be happier…so happy she goes back on vacation this Thursday.
JJ and Melanie were flooded with calls incriminating what may or may not have happened with JJ in Barbados. Rumor has it there is video footage, but nothing has surfaced. The clock is ticking…and we are still waiting.
We did find out that JJ kicked a Sea Turtle in the face…no harm was done to Nemo’s surfer buddy.

It’s cold, it’s wet, and it’s only August 11th. Why Mother Nature! Why must you torture us???
OK, now that that’s off my chest…good Monday morning. While JJ enjoys his last day off, Boogie, Melanie and Newbie held down the fort with “dirty” talk from the Olympics, men giving up man’s best friend for a girl and a HUGE announcement.

Guess who’s back? Melanie was in the hizz-ouse after a long and well-deserved vacation. Joining her were Scott Boogie and Newbie who did their best to provide comic relief. Boogie makes people laugh, and Newbie is just laughed at.
We learned a ton today. Eggs are good for you, Newbie wants to be invited to Jennifer Aniston’s wedding and Boogie has a fetish with Melanie’s glowing tone.
