Clearly JJ was happy Melanie had returned from her day off. I don’t know how to explain it, let’s just say the two of them stared into eachother’s eyes every time the mic’s were turned off.
Today was national handshake day and Newbie took to the streets to shake your hands. Some laughed in his face, others spit at him (not really) but the ones who showed love made his heart pitter patter.

JJ and Melanie were Boogie and Melanie this morning. JJ took the day off, and with that Melanie in tears…ok, maybe not.
We kicked off the show with snoop talk, and I’m not talking about D to the O to the double G. Melanie openly admitted to snooping in her BF’s belongings, Newbie is a snooper too. Boogie on the other hand has morals.
Poor Celine Dion…why must we hate? Oh wait, I know…it’s because you shouldn’t remake an AC/DC classic in a show called Divas Las Vegas.

JJ is all about dropping the F-Bomb in front of children. OK he’s not, but he did have an F-Bomb malfunction when visiting family this past weekend. In his defense, it was during a session of Rock band…he’s just playing the game.
The ugliest dog was crowned this past weekend…but JJ and Melanie were more interested in seeing the cutest dog…ok, Melanie was. We asked, and you sent in your pics. The winner is up for debate…what do you think?
According to a study, men DO NOT like needy women. However, Newbie and others claim to “need to be needed” it makes them feel like they have a purpose. FYI…Newbie’s backbone is very bendy.

If I were a cheerleader I would cheer about double stuffed Oreos, summer dresses and Nair wax strips. Most importantly I would cheer about it being FRIDAY!!! A day where a good portion of people blow their pay cheques, and swim in the lake. Too bad Lake Ontario is polluted and it’s going to rain this weekend…boo.
Global TV’s Bill Coulter dropped by the JJ and Melanie show this morning to discuss what we can look forward to this summer…as far as weather goes. Turns out the cold temperatures and rain may soon be coming to an end. The bad news, we’re already nearing the end of June. Look for Bill on Global TV Morning News.
Let me end things off on a smelly note…and I’m not talking about my cat’s litter box. Melanie was irate, IRATE I tell you, because someone (clear throat) left their dinner in the ladies washroom, which in turn created a BO/mould-like odor in the studios this morning. Has this ever happened to you? I recommend that person run fast…and far.

Let’s begin with CODE WARS. Despite Newbie’s best efforts to make it an entertaining event…JJ took the lead upping his game to 5 wins, and Melanie with just 4.
According to a study there are 5 guys out there who are out to take YOUR woman. One that stands out is the “Stay-at-home Dad.” Lesson to be learned…have a kid, quit your job, and chillax at home.

JJ gave his wife the “evil eye” when she approached him in the kitchen while cooking. All’s (that’s right…all’s) he needed was his space. Afterall, he is the one cooking…and he did say it would be ready in minutes.

JJ and Melanie welcomed Mentalist Haim Goldenberg to the studios this morning. He amazed JJ with his ability to move things and blew Melanie’s mind by…well…reading her mind. He also touched Newbie…without touching him. Spooky? Intriguing? Do you believe?

It was wet, cold, and celebrity induced…it was the MMVA’s. This year JJ and Newbie took to the red carpet and chatted with the A-list lineup. Highlights of the night were Newbie’s crush on Miss Universe Canada 2007 and JJ’s man-crush on Rainn Wilson aka Dwight Shrute.
What should the ideal man have? Well that’s a question we’ve been asking ourselves for years. JJ and Melanie touched on a recent survey stating that 98% of women prefer a sense of humor. As a funny man I say BS!!!!!! I’m funny, women much prefer beefy over funny.

JJ's Review of The Incredible Hulk
Satisfying on so many levels! This is the Hulk I wanted to see. Plenty of "Hulk Smash" which would have been enough, but oh no there is so much more. Great pace for a 2 hour movie, decent supporting cast and Edward Norton portrays the tormented Bruce Banner to perfection. With the exception of a few scenes, the Hulk was CGI'd to what appears to be the best that can be done. The Hulk shows a range of emotions that connects you to his character like no other previous Hulk. As far as the story is concerned I felt they stayed relatively true to the comics and what changes were made enhanced the overall mass appeal. I really appreciate when writers and directors try to appease the fans of the genre in this case, fanboys and comic book geeks such as myself. It was so great to see Hulk "Thunder Clap, Pound the Earth and yell HULK SMASH!!! and more subtly, cameos from Lou Ferigno, Stan Lee and 'The Lonely Man" music...and as if that weren't enough the surprise cameo from another popular Marvel hero at the end (name rhymes with Boney Bark) OMG!!! My mind was blow at the thought of what's to come for the genre. Overall very fulfilling.

John Mayer’s “friend” claims he’s “good in bed.” Yes, I used double quotes twice because I really don’t like that Mr. John Mayer is getting more credit then he probably deserves. I can totally pay someone to say the same thing…I’ve got a $5 bill burning a hole in my pocket. Melanie says she would take one night of fantastic whoopee over a so/so sex life. What do you think?
It’s Friday the 13th…I’ll save my scaaary post for Halloween, but I will say that there was an eery vibe in the studio this morning. JJ and Melanie are not one’s to be superstitious, but it was quite odd that there was a black cat and ladder in the studio this morning. (Insert Twilight zone theme here)
Matte Babel chatted with us this morning and assured us that the MMVA’s will be off the hook. I don’t know what that means, but it sounds AWESOME!!! JJ and myself will be on hand and report all the gossip Monday morning…I love you NKOTB!!!

Tiger Tiger Woods ya’ll…yes, good ol’ Tiger called JJ and Melanie this morning and verbally slapped JJ upside the head. It’s the US Open – one of 7 major golf tournaments…now you know JJ. It was just announced that Tiger was #2 on Forbes rich list, and he was very quick to rub it in our faces. Oh Tiger, it’s a good thing you’re so pretty.
CODE WARS…JJ and his 416’rs tied it up at 4 a piece. No doubt special guest HULK was in his corner. More importantly, Newbie even tried to help Melanie, but she still could not guess which celebrity Dad was attached to her forehead. 905 – 4…416 – 4.
Stacey from Scarborough is off to San Diego to see Lil Wayne in concert. Thanks to everyone who qualified…you’re awesome!!!

Melanie chases her man into the shower...when they’re in a heated argument. OK, to her credit she can argue with the best of them. JJ insists that sometimes it’s best to walk away, turn a blind eye and be on your way. We preach to you Ms Melanie…banish the confrontation; when life throws you an angry lemon, make some angry lemonade. We love you Mel!!!
JJ and Melanie give away free $%@#& all the time. Today was no different, because if you were able to get through the phone lines you probably picked yourself up a chance to fly to San Diego, join JJ and Newbie at the MMVA’s or see LL Cool J live in concert. It’s all true, and it happens all over again tomorrow morning.

This morning Melanie had some aches and pains. Typically it’s because of dance, but she came to the conclusion that it might be because of her flip-flops. I googled flip-flops and apparently they’re not designed to align your spine and force you to stand up right. Personally, I always knew they were designed to just kill spiders.
Baby Newbie called the show this morning. He (or she) brought their own brand of humour to the show with a questionable wardrobe choice for this Sunday’s MMVA’s.

Melanie and her new Golf partner “Mr. Smith” are very playful on the golf course, and that doesn’t seem to be an issue with her. Let me clarify, all they are doing is playing golf…but is it ok to have a golf buddy of the opposite sex when the GF is at home? JJ says NO…Melanie disagrees. What did our listeners say this morning? Well, as far as your concerned Melanie can golf with whomever she wants. Swing those clubs and hit those balls Mel!!!
You know, with the weather so nice and the sun so bright, JJ and Melanie have been spreading the Vitamin L…Love. Truth is they always do, but it just goes to show you how much better life is when the weather is nice. Just last week I gave the rest of my ice cream to a dog…and I love me some frosty cream.

Feeling Hot Hot Hot…oooh weee…32 today, 31 tomorrow. JJ and Melanie are going Streaking!!!
Dum dum dum dum…that’s right, The Hockey Night in Canada theme may be extinct next season and fans are up in arms about it. Rarely are new theme songs better than the original. What will happen? Will our beloved unofficial Canadian anthem end? JJ and Melanie can’t wait to see what happens…actually ya they can.
JJ had a bit of a “situation” at a local eatery this past week. A server who we’re now calling “smug bastard” openly hit on JJ’s better half right in front of him…and even referred to JJ as Chief. To our surprise you suggested JJ should get over it. Thanks chiefs!!!

G g g g g morning! I’m so excited I can’t help but stutter. NE YO joined JJ and Melanie this morning and gave us insight into his new album and concert tonight at the ACC.
CODE WARS kicked off its 7th week and JJ captured the win trailing 3games to 4. We also saw the introduction of Mini Newbie…much better than original Newbie…but not nearly as pretty.

JJ and Melanie often stimulate our minds…and this morning was no different.
Let’s start off with everyone’s favorite subject…marijuana. According to a study out of Australia, marijuana can cause memory loss. Many of you called, and many of you forgot what you were going to say.
Apparently George Clooney dumped his ex in a not-so-kind way. JJ insists that sometimes putting your foot down in the only way to do it. If you wait too long, the GF might go crazy…thus causing her to never leave.
Every now and then JJ and Melanie come across an email that will inspire them to offer their high priced advice. Would you allow your 18-year-old child to be in their room with the opposite sex with the door closed? Heeeck NO! At least that’s how Melanie feels, and I could not agree more.
OK, my fingers hurt…and it’s not just because I’ve been picking my nose all morning.

Monday is here, and you would think that JJ and Melanie would be half asleep, but as always they were on top of their game.
Nadine from Markham is currently shopping for luggage because she’s on her way to sunny Barbados with JJ. All week long you’ll get the chance to qualify – you too can be on a flight to beautiful Barbados.
Would you help someone in need? Melanie made the right decision to help a pedestrian who fell on the sidewalk at the corner of Yonge and Front last Friday. To her surprise it took much too long for anyone to react to this person in need. Next time…help out, it feels good.
