Todd Mcfarlene creator of Spawn showed up at the X-Men Origins Wolverine premier in Arizona earlier this week and spoke to my source about the return of Spawn. McFarlane said that he's got five offers on the table, ranging from big studios and big budgeted productions with a lot of special effects, to low budget, small ideas, including one that he even wants to direct himself.
Fans of Wolverine who watched the online leak of the film won't miss one thing by skipping the theater -- they'll miss at least two. The director of X-Men Origins: Wolverine, due out Friday, says the theatrical version features two different "Easter egg" endings. The short bits of footage play after the credits and reveal important information about key characters. The two endings play on separate prints, so different theaters may show different footage.
GE says its researchers have achieved a breakthrough in digital storage technology that will allow standard-size discs to hold the equivalent of 100 DVDs.
It’s merely a lab success at this stage, but the new technology is intended to work in products that can be mass-produced at affordable prices,
G.E. researchers’ work in the field of holographic storage, an optical process that stores 3D images and digital data together, encoding it all and placing it on light-sensitive material such as a DVD.
Holographic discs could hold 500 gigabytes of data. (In comparison, Blu-ray comes in 25-gigabyte and 50-gigabyte discs, and a standard DVD holds 5 up to about 8 gigabytes.)

MICHELLE OBAMA COMIC BOOK _ Michelle Obama will be available in bookstores on Wednesday. This latest installment in the Female Force comic book series offers a bio of Mrs. O. "as she secures her place in American history." The first two books in the Female Force series, featuring Hillary Clinton and Sarah Palin, are currently on their third printing. Three more Female Force titles, featuring Caroline Kennedy, Princess Diana and Condoleezza Rice, are in production and scheduled for release in the coming months.
No doubt you forgot, the 25th was National DNA Day. Can't think how to celebrate it? Well, if you have $68,000 or more lying around, you can bid for a chance to have your entire personal genome sequenced by Knome, a company that does such things.
The proceeds from the 10 day auction will benefit the X-Prize Foundation, whose mission is to "bring about radical breakthroughs for humanity." They've put up a prize of $10 million to anyone who can sequence 100 human genomes in 10 days or less. Considering that the first sequencing of the human genome, back in 2001, took an entire year, this will prove to be a remarkable feat.
According to Dr. Peter H. Diamandis, chairman and CEO of the X-Prize Foundation, "The ability to fully sequence human genomes and use that personal genetic information to predict disease susceptibility and guide proactive care has the power to transform our entire healthcare system. It is that quantum jump in speed and reduction of cost that make this X-Prize so important in accelerating the dawn of personalized medicine," says Diamandis.

Update!!!
Finally, finally better than decent weather is upon us. We’ve waited an entire winter to reach above average temperatures. I’ll overlook the chance of rain or thunder, I’ll even forgive Tim Horton’s for running out of Roll up the Rim cups early this season…because when we hit 20 and above it’s time to break out the shorts and indulge in virgin mojitos.
It’s been a busy week for JJ and Melanie. Thanks for tuning in for your chance to win great prizes and free laughs. Next week we promise to have a little of the same…only this time less clothing will be involved.
Thanks for making the switch to JJ and Melanie in the Morning…putting the burn in sunburn.
